When much is given than much more is Required

People have asked me through the years, How do you do it?  How do you home school, drive all the kids everywhere, maintain the house, cook dinner ( even though it might not look or test the best) and still have it going on with your husband?   Some people wonder why I'm not stressed out and crabby?

Here is why.  Twelve years ago, when Mark and I became parents for the first time, we decided we were going to sacrifice our own needs and wants so I could be a stay at home mom.  This is what God wanted from me.  To dedicate my life as their mom and pour into the children he brought into our life.  This looks different for everyone.  The sacrifices we made then are beginning to pay off now.  God has been working on me, growing me and allowing me to see such a bigger picture for our family.  He has given us the opportunity for me to stay at home and home educate. This is a huge responsibility, which I don't take lightly.  When he gives you much than much is required.  When he opens up doors, we can either make excuses why it can't work or trust him.  When you do take the risk and stop listening to the negative voices around you, opportunity comes in all kinds of sizes.

When your life is God lead, doesn't mean it will be easy  but if you take the risk and open up your heart and mind, things work out. You continue to go where he wants you to go until He changes the direction.   It's up to you on how are you going to look at your life and what is handed to you.  Yes, being a mother to four kids at times can be challenging but I refuse to cast my problem on my children.  Jesus says, "give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
When I do, he reminds be to keep going even when it's hard.

God and the love for our marriage and our children are the motivation behind what my husband and I do.  Yes, we can have crazy days but it's a good crazy.  But it all works out!  We still eat as a family, spend lots of family time together, the kids take care of the home  are respectful, grateful and love the Lord.  How could I not want to do what I do.  At the end of the day, our hope is that they see a bigger vision of God and our lives point to Him.

The reason I'm not stressed is because my life is being lead by God.  If you are living a life for Him don't let anyone tell you different or take your joy away! Pouring into your marriage and children is and should always be your first ministry.

Great Post!!! It's true! when we put our own needs aside, and put our faith and reliquish control to Him, it's crazy... crazy good. Not always easy but always worth it!
